THE STANLEY INDUSTRIAL ALLIANCE STAGE

The Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage features complete sound, lighting and fly systems, a box office and full bar service. Located in the stylish South Granville community, the award winning Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage is within walking distance of convenient parking facilities and an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants.

GRANVILLE ISLAND STAGE

This 450-seat venue features a convenient loading bay, a full fly system, and a box office and bar service. Sound and lighting systems are limited. An adjoining reception area with great views of False Creek is ideal for meetings or post-show gatherings.

THE REVUE STAGE

The Revue is an intimate 200-seat, cabaret style theatre. A full bar, reception area and box office services compliment this venue. This venue has small sound and lighting systems.

*Live Bands start in the Backstage Lounge at 10:30 pm. The sound carries into the theatre.
**Daytime hours are defined as those occurring between 6am - 6pm. This rate is only available to renters with one day events, requiring limited technical needs. This rate is available at the discretion of the Rentals Manager.
-For 2 Shows in one day add 50% to applicable rate for each venue. 
-Additional hours (above the 8-hour maximum) will be charged at $100 per hour for the Granville Island and Revue Stages and $200 per hour for the Stanley Theatre.


TERMS & CONDITIONS

1) SURCHARGE
To help finance the Theatre's capital improvements, a surcharge of $2.00 per person will be applied at the Stanley Theatre and Granville Island Stage, $1.50 at the Revue Stage. For non-ticketed or free-admission events, except for school graduations and church services, a capital improvement fee will be levied accordingly: $75.00 for the Revue Stage; $150.00 for the Granville Island Stage; and $250.00 for the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage. 

2) TAXES
All listed rates and fees, unless specifically exempted, are subject to goods and services tax (GST) in accordance with federal legislation.

3) NON-REFUNDABLE RENTAL DEPOSIT
The required non-refundable rental deposit will be 50% of the total rental fee and is due upon signing of the contract. The remaining balance of the rent is due 30 days before the day of the show.

4) EVENT TIME ALLOWANCE
When an event continues beyond the rental period, it will be subject to an additional fee of $100 per hour at the Granville Island and Revue Stages, and $200 per hour at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage, for each hour or portion thereof.

5) INSURANCE
A certificate of public liability and property damage insurance for a minimum of $2 million of coverage per event, with the Arts Club Theatre Building Society as the additional named insured, is mandatory. This is to be submitted to the ACT in advance of the event but no later than the load in day. Insurance may be purchased through a company of your choice or through Mary Cook at All Sport Insurance Marketing Ltd. at 604-737-3018.

6) STAFF
Included in the rental, as required, are the services of one technician, except in the case of a weekday, daytime rental (see below) for the load-in, rehearsal and performance, up to a maximum of 8 hours at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage and Granville Island Stage and 4 hours at the Revue Stage. For weekday, daytime rentals at the Granville Island Stage only: One technician for the load-in and event, up to a maximum of 4 hours.

Also included, as required, are the services of four Ushers and two Box Office persons, up to a maximum of 4 hours, at the Stanley Theatre, three ushers and one box office person at the Granville Island Stage except in the case of a weekday rental (see below), one usher and one box office at the Revue Stage. For weekday, daytime rentals the Granville Island Stage only: Two ushers and no box office person up to a maximum of 4 hours.

Additional staff and/or hours will be billed at the following rates:
For technicians - $27.00 per hour straight time (the first 8 hours), $40.50 per hour overtime and $54.00 per hour double time. For ushers or additional box office staff- $15.00 per hour straight time (the first 8 hours), $22.50 per hour overtime and $30.00 per hour double time. 

7) BEVERAGE SERVICE
The Arts Club Theatre reserves the right to control the sale or distribution of refreshments. Each venue offers licensed bar service. Bar service is provided at the request of the renter. The cost for bar service at the Stanley Theatre is $140.00, which is waived when bar sales exceed $200.00. For the Granville Island and Revue Stages, cost is $80.00, which is waived when bar sales exceed $100.00. 

8) PREFERRED CATERER 
As the Arts Club Theatre Company's Preferred Caterer, The Lazy Gourmet is happy to extend a 10% discount on all catering associated with an ACTC rental. Please speak to the Rentals Coordinator for further information.

9) DRESSING ROOM, GREEN ROOM, LOUNGE AND LOBBY USE
At the discretion of the Arts Club Theatre, a licensee may use the dressing room and/or green room. Please note that rental rates may differ with lounge and lobby use.

10) COMMISSION MERCHANDISE AND COLLATERAL SALES
There is a surcharge of 15% of the gross receipts from souvenirs, programs, librettos or any other article offered or displayed for sale in either venue, by a licensee. In all cases the sanction of the Arts Club Theatre must be obtained before any such sales are conducted. 

11) SPECIAL SET UP CHARGES
The Arts Club Theatre reserves the right to make certain additional charges for special seat set-ups, stage, electrical, audio, or utility services. The renter may need to bring in audio and lighting equipment.

12) ELECTRONIC TAPE, BROADCAST, FILM OR PHOTO SHOOTS
Are not allowed without written permission from the Arts Club Theatre Management.

13) ACCESSIBLE FACILITIES: All venues are wheelchair accessible.

14) VENUE AVAILABILITY
Venues are available on a first come first served basis; check dates with the Rental Manager.

15) BOX OFFICE/TICKETING
Persons renting any Arts Club facility must set up their tickets through the Vancouver Tix Box Office. Please contact Liz Wilton at 604-731-4687 to arrange for tickets. In addition to the $2 per ticket capital improvement surcharge, there is a $50.00 set up fee per show, $0.13 for each ticket printed, and 2.1% on Visa/MasterCard transactions and 3.25% on AMEX.
